When I first heard 12 Stones album, I couldn't help but to like them because I noticed that myself-as singer of a local band in Huntsville, Alabama-sound so much like Paul McCoy that it is ridiculous. Then, I continued to listen to the album and found that it is truly a nice album with good music.
1. Crash: Good start to the album, although I would have prefered Broken to be the first song, because I like albums that start off with a bang. Nice drum interlude and great guitar solo by Eric. 10/10.
2. Broken: The first song that I heard from 12 Stones and my favorite. Paul growls a lot on this song, which I like. Best Line: "Patiently waiting by the phone/ Hoping that you will call me home". I love the ending of the song when Paul really screams. 10/10
3. The Way I Feel: The first 12 Stones video I seen. Good video, as well as good song. My second favorite on the album. Great Christian song. Another good solo by Eric, although for some reason it kind of reminds me of the Crash solo. 10/10
4. Open Your Eyes: This song has a cool intro, with Paul screaming, of course. I really enjoy this song although I don't know why. 10/10
5. Home: Another one of my favorite, because at the end of the song, Paul growls "Home", while singing the chorus. 10/10
6. Fade Away: It took me a while to finally reach this song on the album, because the ones before it is so good. And when I did reach it, I was definitely impressed with the lyrics and music. 10/10
7. Back Up: For some reason when I listen to this song, I want to rap. Maybe it's because when Paul says "Just stand up, get up, back up". I don't know. But good song. Another good solo by Eric. How many is that now? Three. This guy is going to blow up his guitar or something. 9/10
8. Soulfire: Now, this song really make me wanna rap, because Paul is actually doing it himself in a way, as he talks through the verses. Although, that sound like a bad thing, it is not. The song is still excellent, especially Aaron on the drums. This one for you Aaron . . . 10/10
9. In My Head: Good song, although I'm not really into it. Maybe I haven't listen to it much, or maybe the guitar parts sound like a Creed song, which is not bad because I like Creed as well. 8/10
10. Running Out of Pain: The same goes for this one, if I listen to it more, maybe I'll like it more. Slow song, but still a good 12 Stones song. 8/10
11. My Life: The intro is so cool on this song. And this is another highlight of the album. 10/10
12. Eric's Song: Despite it sounding like the old Batman theme, this song is good and a nice ending. 10/10
Now, before I leave I have something else to say: To all of you people who give various artists one star and rant and rave that their music suck, I must say that it is not fair to the artists who work hard to produce good music for everyone to listen to. I know that some artists music may not appeal to everyone, so if you don't like the music of a particular artist just don't review their albums. I am so sick and tired of reading reviews about people saying how garbage an album is. But since everyone is entitled to their own opinion, at least when you give an album poor reviews, say it in a nice way and tell why you don't like the album and offer advice on how to make it better if you think it sucks. Who knows, maybe the music artists out there read the reviews on this site and might take heed to your advice?
