These WILL Get Stuck In Your head And You WILL Be Smiling

I want to say this right now: I am not a teeny. I did not buy this CD because I think they are "H-O-T-T", but rather because I enjoyed the movie. Thank you for letting me get that boring statement out in the open. Now, MTV did a good job promoting this movie, and most of my friends who have MTV watched it during the premiere. The others had the ability to watch it later thanks to MTV's wonderful "Let's play it 20 times in one week for no perticular reason" philosophy. It did a good job of adding comedy to the music scene's overdose of hot, "talented", young guys. The CD does just as well as the movie. It plays up the hint of sensuality that the Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC possess in such songs as "Rub One Out", "Before We Say Goodbye", and "You're My Baby Girl" to the extreme, but just a touch in "U+Me=Us (Calculus)" and "Say It, Don't Spray It". Behind the goofy lyrics lay true talent. These boys truly can vocalize, but this CD is so short you can barely tell. All in all, the lyrics are stand out, sharp, and funny, in a way the broadly shows in the movie. More songs (including some ones other than those in the movie, and by artists other than falsified boy bands) should have been put on this 10 track disc, but for now, I'll just listen to these songs and be satisfied with their witty, poignant quality. Hey, it's what made "U+Me=Us" a catchphrase among my friends and I.
