if you like hardcore/metal music and are looking for a new and talented group of artists to bang yer head to, then 40 below summer has got you covered. the vocals are downright amazing. the singers manage to get great tone and harmonies during the melodic music sections, and pack a major punch during the screaming sections. 40 below summer is a band that is accessible to people of different musical tastes, too. if you are a raging hardcore or death metal freak, theres enough screaming and angst to keep you happy, and if you're into lighter stuff, the harmonies this band does are wonderful and the instrumentation is great. for example, the song "wither away" is an unexpected but beautiful lighter twist on the cd, and it is contrasted well by superheavy grindcore style numbers like "step into the sideshow". also, "falling down" is one of my favorite songs of all time. all i can say is, 40 below summer rocks, they're a great new band, and they need support, so BUY THE CD NOW!
