It is always nice to see a band stick with what they know how to do. That is excatly what this band does, they do not try to do too many things on this their first album. They stick to the nu-metal sound and are looking for perfection within this genre. THE GOOD: 1) SOLID BEGINNING. There is something for everyone on this disk. I know that I write that alot, but it's true. There are nice metal rifts and some good singing....oh yea, and there is some nice yelling. It is a great foundation for any band and I can only see them growing from here. 2) NO MUSICAL FIGHTING. More often than not, the first disk from a band in a metal catagorie is more a "look at how hard I can play my guitar" or "look how loud I can yell and drown out my guitar player". That is not the case here, everyone gets to show case their talents. Nice job there guys, keep up the team chemistry and you will get my bucks on your second disk. 3) PRICE. It is nice to see an album below 13.95 on the market. Even the websites were you can buy CD's have accepted this price. If this is the bands doing, cool...if it is the record company they are signed with, real nice!! THE BAD: 1) SOUND. Even though they might sound together, at times they have trouble finding which direction they would like to travel in....but at least they travel together! 2) FIRST SONG. The first song on a debue album should be the one that grabs your attention. Such memorable first songs include Limp Bizkits "Pollution", Korn's "Blind", and Seven Dust's "Black". All this band had to do was switch track 5 with track 1 and then this would not even be an issue. THE BOTTOM LINE: Hey, at least it's not the band OURS, in fact this is far from that band....thank God! This album is just a solid openning album from a band where the sky is the limit for them. Will they rank up there with the likes of metal heads like Korn and Static-X or will they fall into the catagorie with good bands that could have made it, we all know who I am talking about. I gave this album three stars, but it was more like 3.5, this album is not a "must have" album until they can prove themselves to be of quality not quanity.
