First of all, I have to admit that I actually enjoyed Linda Perry's complex and PJ Harvey-ish solo album "In Flight", and after reading about her recent stint of writing decent songs for today's mostly horrendous pop scene (Christina Aquillera's "Beautiful" is courtesy of Linda), I had a curiousity to plop down a buck to see if her official band had something that I overlooked. Man, was I wrong, for this was a torturous album to hear. Never mind playing Metallica CD's to captured terrorist allies in order to get them to talk (unless you're talking about St. Anger); they should play this god-awful album over and over----they will be begging to give up any information they know. From the stupid lyrics to the annoying vocals to the sloppy music, it is all one chaotic, unlistenable mess. Aside from the overplayed and no longer relevant hit "What's Up?", there is not one song on this disc that didn't send bad chills down my spine. If Tori Amos had her piano fall on her foot, she would still be able to carry a tune better than Miss Perry does here (some may argue and say her singing style is unique, I say it's Robert Plant with a sex change and a flaming pair of hemmorhoids). If you have neighbors that you hate and you want to annoy the ever-living piss out of them, blast this garbage. 4 Non Blondes have made me 1 Non Fan.
