I got this record after I heard What's up, not really for it, just hoping it was going to be interesting and I got lucky. The album is really good, a lot harder than I would have thought. It starts in force with Train, it's quite unexpected really, and then it goes in the same vein with Superfly. Things cool down a little after that, but they don't really get pensive. There is sheer force throughout the album and not only due to the impressive vocals (but largely thanks to it all the same). Very good drum work and guitars are up to it as well. I was impressed with the variety of themes as well, it's not the kind of thing that goes on with the same kind of songs, changing the tune a bit from one to the next. No, every song has its well defined personality, no way to mix them up. The other thing about it is the actual recording, it sounds absolutely briliant, one of the best sounding records I've got, even if it goes back all that time. Sounds a lot better than a lot of remastered albums if you asked me. Too bad it was the one and only, but there you go. Better than five so and so albums, that's for sure.
