A must-have album by Lucy London, England
Reviewed on January 3rd, 2002
a1 may not be a household name in the US yet, but watch out for them in the future. The quartet are hugely successful in Europe and Asia, especially in their homeland of the UK.The A List is an album with a song for every taste. If uptempo, high energy dance songs do it for you, it's worth getting the album for tracks such as 'Take On Me' (the band's first UK number one), 'Too Baby Baby' and 'I Wonder Why'. If you're more of a ballad fan, you won't regret listening to the excellent 'Tomorrow', 'The Things We Never Did' and 'I'll Take The Tears' among others. 11 out of 15 tracks on The A List were written by the band, showing their potential as song-writers as well as musicians. Even if you don't like 'boy-bands', this album should surprise you. The excellence of The A List puts a1 on the map, standing them out from the rest of the 'teen-pop' crowd. Go on, order it now!
