After digesting the recent APC album you kinda of ask yourself what were they on and if so hand some over...just kidding. After seeing this band live this year twice. Maynard would say "question authority" this conceptual album does that to a certain point. However before I review this CD I would like to say that this album is mostly Howerdel's vision and Maynard's angry view of this world. Right from the beginning "Annihilation" with Maynard whispers "peace or annihilation its your choice" he expresses a deep anger towards the big whigs in Washington. The whisper also expresses that war is usually kept in a low tone before heading off to war. "Imagine" is one of the many covers on this album that is a somber very mellow, it shows Billy's influence of the bands he use to work for (Smashing Pumpkins, Tool and Nine Inch Nails)as a sound tech. The sound is very broody and anger filled track 3 "Peace Love and Understanding" is one of those tracks that make you question things in the world. The reality is that this band is one of those bands that are far away from being mainstream any of these tracks will not make it to the airwaves. That hurts cause this is a very talented band. The Reznor/Maynard/Howerdel/Lohner track "Passive" is one of those songs that get to you they force you take action to get off your behind and do something about the world. This song is the best of all. This album is very well polished a must for any APC fan I only commented on these three songs because if I reviewed every song you'll be stuck for a long time reading. I recommend this album strongly and be the change you want to see in this world. Take Action!!!!
