great sounds but no tunes by "fromabandcalledblower" chicago, il United States
Reviewed on September 10th, 2003
Acetone creates some truly pleasing sounds and great recordings. These guys can play and have excellent taste and vibe. Obviously a lot of time was spent crafting these recordings. A studio engineers dream project. HOWEVER there is one glaring problem. They don't have many memorable tunes and they all sound alike. Also, the vocals are nice, but a bit ineffectual. Their final album York Blvd from 2000 improves these problems somewhat and I would recomend that one. Fantastic players, but they needed some better songwriting.
