Acid Bath, in my opinion, is the best band you have never heard of. To say that you love music but not Acid Bath is an oxymoron, in a sense. Together, they fuse numerous musical styles that fall under the category of loud or heavy creating an intoxicating gumbo that tempts one's palate with hard-core, gothic, psychedelic-punk and grind. This innovative blend is insanely exlosive, but creates a breathless intensity and exhilarting flavor that is easy to swallow. From Jimmy Kyle's undescribable drumming, Sammy Duet and Mike Sanchez's grinding guitar riffs to Audie Pitre's vile, low-end pulsations on the bass fill out the brutal attack on your ears. Dax Riggs' singing is, to put it simply, mesmerizing. Dax sings as if the satanic offspring of Jim Morrison accompanied by a scream from Audie or Sammy. The lyrics are so vivid and beautiful, you can actually paint a picture in your mind. I love Tool and all, but Maynard's poetic, mesmerizing words have nothing when camparing to Acid Bath. Get either "When the Kite String Pops" or "Paegan Terrorism Tactics" or both, the latter being the preferred of the two choices. To sum it all up, Acid Bath is without a doubt one of the most talented bunch of musicians EVER to grace the ears of its listeners. I just can'y describe it. Don't believe me? Put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open-mindedness; chaotic, confused, vulnerability and see for yourself if I am lying or not.
