Great band:Awesome album

This band despite their short lived career will always hold an important place in the metal world. While they never reached the popularity of other high profile U.S bands there is no doubt about this bands enormous potential. The brilliant rythm section is perfectly complimented by the menacing and complimented guitar work from a pair i rate as amongst the finest guitar duos in any band on this planet. On top of the fast, complicated and most of all heavy musicianship (is that spelt right??) is the incredible David Bowie influenced singing voice of frontman Dax Riggs. Dax has a voice that ranges from beautiful melodies to sorrowful crooning to all out death metal screaming. Not only is dax a great singer he is also an accomplished songwriter, which is evident in the dark, insane yet meaningful lyrics which are delivered with raw emotion and conviction. Each song is great but for me the standouts are "Tranquilized", "Jezebel", "Toubabo Koomi", "Scream of the Butterfly" and the album closer "Cassie eats Cockroaches" which has some cool samples from the Clockwork Orange movie.Also check out the equally impressive follow up album "Paegan Terrorism Tactics" and the "Agents of Oblivion" LP which features former Acid Bath members Dax Riggs and Mike Sanchez. And in response to the comments of that particular reviewer who said that Acid Bath were not recognised outside of New Orleans, your way off because i live in Australia and i own both CD's and i know a number of people who are also avid Acid bath fans.
