Admiral Twin has never exactly fed into any pop stereotypes. They are a band consisting of 4 gifted songwriters and musicians that know how to take a little from different genres of music and add a twist, creating a entirely new sound that can only be described as "kitchen sink". You definately hear the Beatles influence, especially in the song Blessed Imperial. I am not sure how wise the decision to make The Unlucky Ones the first single is... I believe that Another Day is probably the most catchy and radio friendly. It is also my personal favorite on the album, closely followed by Better Than Nothing At All, When I Hit The Brakes, and Such a Saint. If you are looking for something that is completely different from everything else you have in your vast album collection, Admiral Twin is certainly a purchase in the right direction.
