Great pop songs about more than girls and parties

I highly recommend this CD. After the first time I listened to it, I couldn't get the chorus for song #1, The Unlucky Ones, out of my head. While I've had this problem before on songs like The Andy Griffith Theme, this time it was enjoyable. In general, the songs are catchy, with lyrics that are about ten steps above what you typically hear on the radio. That's a good thing, since it keeps the music interesting.Standout tracks include the aforementioned "The Unlucky Ones", "Better Than Nothing At All", and "Blessed Imperial". Many tracks show influences from The Beatles and REM, so fans of these groups should find much to like in Admiral Twin. For reference, other bands I personally like include the Red Elvises, No Doubt, and Supergrass. I suspect fans of any of these will also enjoy Admiral Twin. So, if you're looking for some great pop music with lyrics that weren't written by underachieving fratboys, look no farther.
