I bought Alecia Elliott's CD because of all the good reviews it got. I even liked the sound clips a lot. I have to say, though, I am a bit disappointed in the album. I think Alecia has a beautiful voice, but it is not ready to compete with the other vocal diva's of the music industry. The songs are cute, but edge a bit too much on the "bubblegum pop" genre. For example, the song "You Wanna What?" seems like a child's version of Shania Twain's "That don't impress me much". The CD will most likely stay in my collection due to the few good songs, "Ain't no ordinary love", "Some say I'm running", and "I'm waiting for you". If you don't have a CD budget, get the CD - it's good, but if you are picky about your CD's - pass this one up till Alecia grows up a bit.
