More than anything else, when it comes to music, I'm a great admirer of the good stuff, of which there is very little these days. Talents like Shawn Colvin, Loreena McKennitt, Indigo Girls, Dwight Yoakam, Tori Amos, Chris Wall, Paul Simon, Brooks & Dunn - these are rough to come by. Here is one more. What a record. The whispery guitar opening "A Soft Place to Fall" is more than enough to set hearts breaking. That great Byrds-influence on "Long Black Train" - here is an album that has gratefully set much of me on fire.
