Death Metal? No... I'd call it Life Metal...

Andrew W.K.'s music is a very energetic fist pumping, heart thumping mix that really doesn't fit into any genre. That's why I called it Life metal. It sounds so happy and life giving and really fills me up with the energy I need to get through my day, yet at times it's very grungy and metallic. As far as how this new album Wolf compares to his first album I Get Wet... Well... They are very different, but please do not let this deter you from listening to this masterpiece. It seems to me that Andrew's abilities as a musician and song writer have matured, but have not lost any of their trademark qualities. This a more mellow album, as compared to his first work and the music seems to be more melodic, yet it is still very energetic and emotional. The songs also tend to be about a minute longer than on the previous album. There appears to be a much wider spectrum of music here than on I Get Wet. All in all a wonderful performance! I do hope that Andrew's reign does not stop here.
