Oh, Anggun - what is this doggypoop?

I had never ever heard of Anggun until this year when I visited Denmark where I'm originally from, caught up with the latest Danish movies, among which was the superb Dogme film "Open Hearts" directed by Susanne Bier. (English title sucks - Danish title translates to "Love you forever" or "Love, Always", but it sounds much better in Danish I must admit! The film unfortunately came and went in a flash here in the US, what a shame. When I was watching the film I was mesmerized by the soundtrack which compliments the film in way few soundtracks do these days. I rushed out and bought the soundtrack in Copenhagen and listened to it many times there and after I returned to CA. The Danish songwriters and producers did material that is perfect for Anggun's voice - she also co-wrote a few of the songs. I went on the web to find info on her and read that this out of this world beautiful Indoneasian singer is currently in Canada after living in France for some years. I was going to buy "Snow...", but was sorely disappointed when listening to the samples. Yuck and yuck and yuck! And what's with those new age poop titles? I'm not sure if Anggun had a hand in this production, but here she sounds like Celine Dion (ahhhhhrrrrrr), and what a terrible waste. Anggun needs a great visonary producer, like a Trevor Horn, a Guy Sidgewick (?) from Frou Frou, or the Danish team from "Open Hearts". You can have all the talent in the world, the most beautiful voice, but if the production sucks, it's wasted. And what the heck is she doing in Canada - I pray she is not hooking up with the Dion mafia? Oh, no, say it isn't so, Anggun! LOL. And why is it that the no talent Lolita doll Britney Spears is a mega star and the incredible Anggun is virtually unknown in comparison!? It just isn't fair is it? Weep my friends and blow ya nose. I watched Brit's new video with Madonna today (so I'm a masochist) and it was horrific! So bad, it was almost funny, but not quite. And what's with the lesbian action - Madonna is old enough to be Brit's mom! But I'm getting way sidetracked here. Anggun fans of the world, unite and let's get this fantastic lady's career going big time, but with the right producers. Trevor, Guy, are you listening? Why don't have a fat Rolodex with names in the biz, so I can call the right people and have them hook up with Anggun, LOL.....
