Can you fault it? Of course you can't!

This is a simply wonderful album, certainly the best of 2001, possibly for many many years. The whole album has an understated tone to the music, and it's mellow, easy to listen to, and beautiful. Unusually this album has no dud tracks. Most albums have a least one that isn't so good, that you don't quite like as much, but with this album, every single song is of a very high quality, and cannot be faulted. There are different styles and tones to some of the songs, from Don't Think of Me to My Lover's Gone to Isobel and Hunter. But each one is beautifully unique, and a superb song. My personal favourite is probably Isobel, which i love for it's somewhat slow and brooding tone, with it's poetic but hard-hitting lyrics. It's more like a story, sung, than a poem sung, which is what most songs are. It's a tune you can't get out of your head, with the deep tune going in wonderful contrast with her voice. Another real winner is Hunter, a slightly more up-beat and "poppy" tune, but one with with haunting lyrics and great music. My Lover's Gone is a slightly lower-key song, more...mystical, with slightly sad undertones. If songs could be placed as locations, this one would be a lonely English moor in early morning, with the mist drawing away over the landscape and the dew covering the grass, with spider's webs sparkling in the bushes like strands of spun glass, with a person staring off to the ocean in the distance, past the hills. There is little left to say about this album. It is a great one, which everyone should love. the lyrics are beautiful, the music is beautiful. And Dido's voice, contrary to the belief imposed by the name of the album, IS that of an angel. Buy it.
