Not for everyone, but I love it.. by Garth Somewhere in Nova Scotia ,Canada

What can I say about this album that someone here hasn't already stood up on a soap box and pontificated about? It's great..the mix of Terry Bozzio and Adrian Belew in there really set this album above others. Bozzio is such a neat character, as is Belew. People keep talking about how funny FZ's music is..well, yes, it is funny and provocative, but I don't think Zappa wanted people to laugh a whole lot.. I think he wanted the listener to just take it in as Zappa being Zappa..Zappa was making some serious social commentary in these so called hilarious lyrics..my faves on this are pretty much all of it, except for the little blurbs like "...fun in the world" and "wait a minute". "Broken Hearts" is such a great riff rock song..Anyway, this album is great. It's off and on lyrical raunchiness (for lack of a better word) keeps it away from my young kids, but someday they may discover the incredible music that this man made. Zappa is like a beatle or dylan..there is/was only one..and there ain't no more. This album cost me 24.00 and that was after the kid at the store gave me a student discount. T'was worth every penny. For the new or old Zappa fan, you have to own this.
