It's the real thing by Peter Vinton, Jr. Not near Washington, DC
Reviewed on February 9th, 2004
I can hardly believe Zappa's been dead for a decade already, but his music lives on. He's right up there with Shel Silverstein and Randy Newman and Bob Dylan when it comes to brilliant satire. Yes, he's more in your face than those three guys and he's an equal opportunity offender - thankfully - but he was one of the greatest. A note on "Jewish Princess": it's hysterical, and I'm half-Jewish! My black ex-husband sang this song to me, that was the first time I heard it, and it cracked me up. (No, that's not why he's my ex) Parts of that song seemed like it was written about me, but I won't say which parts. Zappa was politically uncorrect, and how much we miss his wit - the P.C. of today is stifling creativity. This album is a must-have!P.S. Too bad the official Zappa website sucks. I went there for info, but gave up after a few minutes. At first it seemed cool, but then it just became annoying as hell.
