This is the first country CD I ever purchased.
I've never thought much of country music- I thought it was ok, not too bad, but nothing special. This CD really changed my mind. I first heard Redneck Woman on the radio and I thought it was catchy and fun, so I got the CD. It was great! Even though I'd never listened to country before, I found myself really enjoying every song on this CD. Gretchen covers a range of topics from partying to cheating to love to drinking- each song is unique and special in its own way. This album is a collection of unique tracks that each tell their own story (catchy hooks included!) My favorites are "When I think about Cheatin'", "Pocahontas Proud", and "Chariot".
I've listened to this CD over and over again and I never feel the need to skip tracks- each one brings something different to the table. I recommend this CD for any music fan- even those that may not think they like country. I bought this CD because I liked "Redneck Woman" and I was not disappointed at all! Give this CD a try, I think you'll enjoy the great singing and meaningful lyrics!
