Bought the album last night, listened until 6am this morning and am loving it more and more!! Gwen's first effort is hot, hot, hot!! Track 1, What You Waiting For? is a song that makes you want to dance and inspires you to live your life. Gwen's vocals come through as powerful, playful and cute. Loved the video, as it is lush with all the couture items in it. I completely sat down in shock at the mention of the Harajuku Girls from Japan. I have travelled to Japan and I know the fashion scene there, it completely blows the US scene away!! I loved that she choose to included that in this song and song 7, titled Harajuku Girls. I can emphasize with her wonderment at seeing these Japanese Fashion Girls in person for the first time. Very Kawaii!! Gwen is a fashion icon herself and I adore the tie in between our culture and the Japanese culture. Smart thinking! Track 2 Rich Girl makes me wish to be a rich girl! Who hasn't dreamed of being more than what she is? Gwen and Eve rock it on this song and the beats blow ya mind! Got to give a shout out to Track 4, Cool which is a not so subtle take on Tony and Gwen's past relationship. I love the maturity of Gwen and the fact that she now feels comfortable addressing their relationship and new found friendship in this song. Giving explanation to how their new relationships affect their friendship. I wish all relationship could end in friendship, but sadly it rarely happens. Nice beats too. Track 5, Bubble, Pop, Electric is my absolute favorite track on the whole album!!! I love the way Gwen takes intimacy and drives the hot, steamy, feminine side of it home!! She coyly sings Drive in movie, Drive in move me, Drive into me!! And I fall in love with the lines over and over again!! Her voical deepth is again shown on this song and the lyrics and beats are sheer perfection! At this time I find that being feminie and coy, yet hot and honest about sexual desires is where I am at in my life. Gwen hits this perfectly with this song!! Loved the 50's feel to it and the collaboration between Johnny and Gwen is lovely! Track 6, Luxurious has me wanting a relationship and I am single!! It is amazing to me how Gwen can convey the emotion and feeling of expensive cashmere wrapped all around you with her beautiful voice, which makes you feel all hot and wet, but she does it with this song!!! Loving the play of words that convey the emotions of intimacy in relationships! Another favorite and can't wait to see the video. The beats and lyrics are on!! The rest of the ablum is the same as above with the callorborations between the artists showcased!! I like that Gwen is inventive and uses her imagination with this ablum! Especially enjoyed her work with Andre 3000 and Tony Kanal. Much thanks Gwen to addressing interacial relationships! The song is the bomb!! My advice is to buy this ablum!! It is a great add to your collection. As you listen to it more and more you will discover new things. New beats and rhythms will appear. You will appreciate all of the work that went it to it and enjoy the evocative 80's feeling it gives you. Gwen may be compared to Madonna but, she is in a class all by herself. The Material Girl became famous because of her behavior, and we loved it!! Gwen is famous because of her talent!!! And we love it!!! No one can deny the beauty, strength and power of her voice. With No Doubt we got the raw, powerful version of Gwen. With her solo efforts we get the hot, sexy, steamy, soft side of Gwen. I am and will continue to enjoy both sides of this artist and look forward to more vides, and her next album. Finally an artist I can relate too at a time in my life that is relevant!!!! She is a woman full grown and with each album we get to hear that. Keep them coming, I say!!
