No matter how dire modern-day rock gets, I can always count on (Hed) Pe's records to flop. This is a comforting feeling, as I've never heard a worse metal band. Add to the fact that this group likes to graft rap vocals to their guitar-heavy "g-punk" and now you can place this band within the context of a musical genre that is the equivalent of a cesspool. This is one talent-deficient group. Maybe since they're so "hardcore" (y'know they are, "bro," they're on the same label as the Backstreet Boys + Britney Spears), that's supposed to be the point. I'd guess that they must practice once a week, because it's hard for a band that's been around this long to sound this smelly on purpose. The engineering sounds pretty wacky too. They must have had to borrow the recording costs from their parents or something. "Crazy Legs" is one of the most retarded songs I've ever heard. And "Killing Time" features pukeworthy guitar. These guys are so dog-awful they make POD, Spineshank and Sevendust sound Zeppelinesque. In 2007, you're going to see (Hed) Pe's albums tenfold in cardboard boxes on record store floors nationwide, all marked down to a dollar. You can count on it, my man.
