(hed)p.e. has been one of my favorite bands for forever. Been a fan since 97. So to myself and Im sure many other (hed) fans out there, I have been anticipating their follow up to the s/t for a very long time. But the real question is, will they just turn into the junky one-hit nu-metal wonders (Papa Roach), or will they rise above their talents and make an amazing album? Well, lucky for me, they made an absolutely superb sophomore effort. (hed)p.e. changed very little, but I think that is a good thing. They do, however, sound alot more groove oriented which is great. The guitars served by Chizad and Wesstyle are even better this time around. Mawk and BC are talented musicians and on Broke (especially Pac Bell) they team up together to make music. Dj Product scratches arent heard too much on here, but he isnt that kind of DJ. What is heard is his background noises alot more fluentlly. And then the almighty MCUD. He is god. Now my favorite singer. All im saying is that this is probably my favorite release of 2000. A definetly must buy for nu-metal hippies.
