1. Right To Be Wrong 10/10 - Joss says, "I've got a right to be wrong / I've been held down too long" and you can really feel her sincerity in the words. She has been struggling to get people to respect her talent and this the perfect way to open the album.
2. Jet Lag 10/10 - This is just a classic. My favorite part of this song is the first verse, "Little angles / Whisper softly / While my heart melts / For you and I'll see / Only sunshine / Only moonlight / For the first time it's real." The chorus is one of the best that I've heard in awhile.
3. You Had Me 10/10 - This was her first single and it's up-tempo. It's nice to hear Joss do something light and fun while still getting the point across.
4. Spoiled 10/10 - "I'd kind of thought I'd be better of by myself / I've never been so wrong before / You make it impossible for me to ever / Love somebody else / And I don't know what I left you for." Joss returns to her signature style on this song.
5. Don't Cha Wanna Ride 9/10 - This is like the perfect song for the summer. It sort of carefree and painless. It's not the kind of song that really gets you thinking, but changes the pace of the album. I guess the producers wanted to add something "younger."
6. Less Is More - 8/10 - This has a fun Reggae feel to it. It's has a similar vibe to the one above if only for it's simplicity. This is another attempt at going "younger." I guess the producers were afraid that the rest of the material was too mature and wanted to balance it out.
7. Security 10/10 - This sort of has a light Gospel feel. It really shows off her voice. The highlight of the song is the chorus. "If your spirit's broken and you can't bear the pain / I will help you put the pieces back / A little more each day / And if your heart is locked and you can't find the key / Lay your head upon my shoulder / I'll set you free / I'll be your security."
8. Young At Heart 8/10 - I think this is the weakest track.
9. Snakes And Ladders - 9/10 This has sort of an interesting take on love. It has a game theme to it as you can tell by the title. This one is kind of hit and miss.
10. Understand - 9/10 - In the beginning is just Joss and the guitar. It's a nice change from the others because the rest of the instrumentation is gradually brought into the song. It just slowly builds. This has more of a tropical/jazz feel.
11. Don't Know How 10/10 - The music on this is catchy and engaging. I think this is a song that a lot of girls can relate to. You have a crush on a guy, but you don't really know what to say. "You caught my eye / And out of nowhere you appeared by surprise / And it's not like me but certainly /I heard myself calling for you/ Could it be fate? / I'm feeling butterflies /And I can't escape /And it's like a rush that's coming over me /The sight of you just takes me away."
12. Torn And Tattered 10/10 - This is one of my favorites. It's another mid-tempo song that works really well for her. "I'm torn and I'm tattered / Sick and tired of living my life singing the same old song / Oh, I, I feel a little battered / Looks like I'm living my life running a one-man show / Oh, I, I don't know where the feeling's gone/ I'll survive, I'll stay alive, I'm gonna carry on."
13. Killing Time 10/10 - When Joss is on she doesn't miss a beat and this song is a good example of her being beyond her years. "Maybe life is better off this way / But what about the others who aren't here today? / We struggle with the tide / Falling with our hearts / But then in my mind / No point in killing time."
14. Sleep Like A Child 10/10 - This song truly moving and brilliant. This is the true jewel of the album. Everything just clicks on this song. Nothing quite like this on any album of the popular albums out there. "Tonight when the darkness comes / Why don't we treat it like a friend? / Then we'll both be glad to see the night / And we'll be hoping / It's never going to end / So don't be afraid of what the nighttime may bring / You must understand that you can dream of anything./ This song is Joss at her best. Perfection is an understatement.
15. Bonus 10/10 - This is just Joss's voice and the piano. It's a thrill to her stripped down to just the basics. Her voice sounds crisp and clear.
