I love this CD... never stop playing it.. so I guess I'll do a song by song synopsis...
Right To Be Wrong 4/5 - Basically she talks about she can be wrong nobody is perfect.. just let her be who she wants to be... has a real heavy blues feel to it
Jet Lag 5/5 - When I first bought this album this song was constantly on repeat! Its a REAL love song... not corny but has meaningful lyrics... talks about getting "jet lag" whenever her guy comes around
You Had Me 4/5 - When I first saw the video I didn't really like it but I bought the CD anyway because I love Joss... I've grown to love it! JUst talks about a guy missing out on her... very catchy lyrics and the beat is upbeat
Spoiled 5/5 - This song is another favorite of mines. Talks about the way her guy loved her spoiled her and no one else could love her like he loved her... slow but a good beat
Don't Cha Wanna Ride 5/5 - "I know you got the hummer for the summer baby, but I gotcha number baby, I gotcha number baby!"... LoL A very catchy song. I do admit that lyrics are corny, but its just a fun way to talk about giving a guy a chance... once you hear this song you'll be singing it all day, even if you hate it
Less Is More 2/5 - It has a reggae feel to it. I don't like it that much but I still listen to it... talks about how a guy is to into her and she's saying "less is more"... leave some things left unsaid
Security 3/5 - I don't really listen to this song that much... but her voice sounds beautiful in it
Young At Heart 3/5 - This song is an ok song... she talks about how she's inlove with a guy and even though they are young they know its love... it has good vocals
Snake and Ladders 4/5 - Has a midievil feel to it... I like the beat. Talks about a guy playing to many games with her
Understand 5/5 - Another favorite! STarts off slow and then works up to instruments joining in one by one. Discusses her "fame" and how she can't always be there for him but she is still inlove
Don't Know How 4/5- Another bluesy song, but upbeat. Talks about her wanting to be with him but she's to shy to approach him
Torn & Tattered 5/5 - My favorite song on the album! Kind of an upbeat song with a great hook... Talks about how she's tired of living life the same everyday... but she will survive
Killing Time 4/5 - Another blues song.. but a really good... her voice sounds very good... "Stop what you're doing before you do it all wrong again"
Sleep Like a Child 5/5 - One of my all time favorite slow songs. Very mellow and calm.. "sleep like a child peaceful and deep and when you lay down I pray your soul to keep"
I hope you are inspired to purchase this CD! Its one of the best this decade! Joss Stone is definitely going to be around for along time! And her music will touch many!
