Ok, two weeks ago I received Kelly Clarkson's new album "Breakaway" as a birthday present, I really wanted to buy it sooner but after reading some of the reviews saying that she had a new rockier sound I became kinda hesitant. I mean breakaway is such a great song, and since you been gone is a good one too, but I guess I just tought she was trying to be another Avril Lavigne. well... I WAS COMPLETELY WRONG. While some of the songs included are a little avrilish, kelly puts her unique style with that amazing voice she has.
Here's a little review of each song: - BREAKAWAY. Who hasn't heard this song, the chorus is great and it's so damn catchy, no wonder was an unexpected hit. 10/10 - SINCE U BEEN GONE. the 2t single, an amazing track with even more punch than breakaway. 10/10 - BEHIND THESE HAZEL EYES. I guess it'll be the third single, a very radio-friendly song., I like it a lot. 10/10 - BECAUSE OF YOU. The firts ballad of the album, and I mean not just another cheesy ballad, very well written and kelly's voice shines. 10/10 - GONE. Not my favorite, but it still is a good song with a catchy beat. 9/10 - ADDICTED. Another great song, it's just something you wouldn't expect from kelly, a great, sad and weird ballad. You can tell it was produced by ben moody. 10/10 - WHERE IS YOUR HEART. A slow ballad that at first sounded just boring, but with a few more listens it grew on me and now it's one of my favorites. 10/10 - WALK AWAY. Possibly my favorite of the fast tracks, You'll find yourself singing after you listened it. Just great. 10/10 - YOU FOUND ME. It's actually a pretty good song, It kinda remind me "come clean" by hilary duff, but this one is way better. 9/10 - I HATE MYSELF FOR LOSING YOU. The chorus is a little boring, but it gets better at the ending. 8.5/10 - HEAR ME. One of my favorites, it starts slowly but explodes at the chorus. A great song!!! 10/10 - BEAUTIFUL DISASTER (LIVE). Actually I didn't care much of this song on "Thankful", the live version is better and kelly sings it in the best possible way. 10/10
