This bad music? I've never heard a DECENT reason against it

Kid Rock takes a lot of flack from music fans, and I can see why. The first time I heard Bawitdaba I cracked up. It seemed like Kid Rock was just another uninspired Rapper trying to cash in on the popularity or Rap-Metal. But when my friend gave me Devil Without A Cause for free, I decided to give it a listen. I was actually quite impressed. Sure, his lyrics are all about flash and partying, but so what? The songs were catchy, and songs like "Only God Knows Why" and "Wasting Time" showed that perhaps there was more to this guy than I first thought... Now comes "The History of Rock", which proves that Kid Rock definitely has more aspects to his music than most people think. True, he's no Bob Dylan, but he successfully manages to mix rap with not just metal, but a broad spectrum of rock, and even a tiny dash of country, to make something just a tad different from the usual. Songs like "Prodigal Son" show that Kid Rock is able to do more than shout mosh-pit chants. Unlike most artists lumped into the Rap-Metal category, Rock isn't singing about how much life sucks, or simply trying to annoy your parents. He's just trying to write some good fun party music. Songs like "Ya Keep On" and "Three Sheets to the Wind (What's my Name?)" are just so much fun to listen to that you stop caring about society's ills and just go with the flow. On two songs, he ventures into the perilous territory of soul-searching ballads. "Abortion" is a pensive apology to a lost child. But the showcase on this album is "My Oedipus Complex", a track that starts as an angry rant about his absentee father, then switches perspectives to his father's point of view, and actually tries to mend some fences (It's been a while since a song of this sort had a positive outlook). This album proves that despite what the radio singles would imply, Kid Rock is a talented performer, who will, if nothing else, keep you entertained like the best of them.
