Another clear case of the record companies shamelessly selling the artist(I use that term extremely loosely) rather than art. In today's music business it doesn't take any artistic ability to get a record deal. What it does take is a sexy young woman for the males to objectify and females to idolize. Its even better if the young woman already enjoys popularity from other endeavors. The problem is mixing business with art. The record companies aren't motivated by artistic integrity; they are in business to make money, period. They realize that people who would buy this record seemingly can't discern a marketing ploy from artistic talent. The record company then takes the path of least resistance and re-uses the tried and true formula to guarantee sales. Clearly it could be anybody singing these songs. See J.Lo, Britney, Hilary, Jessica, Ashlee etc. They are all the same. For all I know the same group of people writes and produces all these "artists" albums. The real shame here is that record companies waste all their effort on this garbage, and put forth no effort to find and produce real artists with real artistic abilities. The music industry it seems has been relegated to just one corner of the mass market media, which includes movies, TV, magazines, videos etc., designed to sell images to objectify or idolize rather than disseminate true art.
