lost in translation

When "Du Hast" hit the airwaves here in Chicago IL it was insane! Chicago could not get enough if its intense driving sound! Who cared it it was in German?! We loved it - It rocked! I'll never forget it. Then a couple months later the radio station annouced it has Du Hast released in English. 3 words OH MY GOD! I think the entire city fo Chicago agreed its sucked! It did not translate well. And we never heard another thing - at least not on Chicago airwaves.
To this day I will never forget the impact Rammstein had on Chicago that year. I personally didn't care what they were saying - it sounded awesome. Then somebody had to go & translate it - and it was the downfall of the album & Rammsteins success here in Chicago. Why take a good thing & turn it inside out & ruin it? If you have nothing better to do than go around tranlating every word of Rammsteins lyrics then you need to get a life! You need to appreciate the band for who & what they are - a GERMAN METAL BAND - THATS SINGS IN GERMAN! What are you going to go translate TNT's orignal CD that is in Norweign next?
