Stunning by Mike Hamm Dayton, OH
Reviewed on September 10th, 2002
This disc is like a musical journey which takes the listener on an intense emotional rollercoaster ride. Well crafted and engineered at an astounding degree of expertise, the songs shine through like a ray of light in a dark, lucid dream.Like quite a few pop albums in the past ten years, this disc highlights sonic qualities like that of Sting, or any other artist who has the resources available to have lush string arrangements, acoustic in additon to electronic instrumentation, but with on major addition: Detail. Production is superb, with small details that have a huge impact, such as fantastic stereo imaging, reversed triangle sounds, and guitar strumming that pans around from left to right. In a nutshell? Listen to the CD with headphones and you will be amazed. You will hear sounds that almost aren't there, and you will hear things the sound like they're coming from behind you. If you enjoy good music, give this disc a chance. It's highly underrated.
