This album is more fun than hush puppies and lucky charms. I dare anyone to listen to "Going Out" and not burst into spontaneous foot-tapping and smiles. The album has such a rich vibe to it- it's like it was carved out of mahogany and sunshine and infused with killer hooks and beats and touched up with sugar, spice and everything nice. "In It For the Money" and "Richard III" are a monstrous one-two opening and through the first 8 songs the album is consistently great. The greatest thing about this album is how they take conventionally awesome pop songs and throw in the entire kitchen sink to spruce it up a bit. When you hear the theremins enter amidst the arse-kicking riff that is "Richard III" you will be blown away. When the guitar solo kicks in on "G-Song" over that ridiculously catchy chord progression you will be awestruck. When you hear that crazy keyboard solo on the ridiculously good "Sun Hits the Sky" you will fall in love with this album.
There's no reason anyone who at all likes guitar-pop music should be without this music. It's neck and neck with that monster of 90's Brit-pop, Parklife, and head and shoulders above the rest.
