More good Britpop

Its the mid-late 90s. You have Oasis with their arena-rock sounding tracks that emulate later days Beatles. Then you have Blur with their cheeky clever quirk-rock that stem from bands like XTC and The Stone Roses.

Somewhere in the middle, you have Supergrass. Simply put, they draw from both the Oasis and the Blur schools of Britpop. They're catchy, they're classic-sounding, they've got that spunky punk edge to them, they can write classic ballads, they can write upbeat rockers.

I'd rank these guys pretty high in the Britpop world... although they're no Blur :).

They seem to draw more on the then-current sound in this album then their (in my opinion superior) 2000 self-titled album. You'll probably want to check that one out too.

Good stuff, folks.
