It has been a long time since I bought an indie album, but I was certainly glad I got this one! From the catchy lyrics to the funky sounds and anglophilic voice and music style, the Killers are right when they sing that they are ON TOP!
As far as I am concerned, they are the hippest band to hail from Vegas. And they are a breath of fresh air from all of the thrashy rock bands that seem to dominate the US. It is a shame they are far more popular in the UK, and doing lots of concerts there (at least they were when I last visited family there), because I would love to see them in concert. They have charisma.
Anyone into indie or Brit rock should go out and get this CD. The thumping beats and Brandon's tuneful voice will be very pleasing.
