Okay, I admit I was skeptical about The Killers. I had only heard 'Somebody Told Me' on the radio a few times, and while the song was amusing, I wasn't exactly impressed out of my socks or anything. So I borrowed the CD from my library system and gave it a listen.
Wow.
That's my first reaction. The songs are just amazing. The lyrics are beautiful, the music itself is gorgeous, and while Brandon's voice is a little different, it too is marvelous. It's not really like anything else out on the market today. It's fresh, it's catchy, and it's amazingly good.
The caught a lot of popularity after appearing on Fox's teen drama 'The O.C.', and are currently up for a number of Grammy's for their amazing first album Hot Fuss. It's a great mix of indie rock and emo that you'll just want more and more of.
Get this CD as soon as humanly possible, you will NOT regret it.
