This is such a great album. Great music, great guitars, great vocals, and great lyrics. The first half of the record is packed with hits and hits in waiting. Very strong indeed, the stand outs for me being "Smile Like You Mean it" and "Things that I've done". The two strongest on the record.
The second half can be said to be just as strong, but it takes some time to grown on you and discover. It's funny people keep mentioning their style and who they "borrowed" from. It seems only serious Killers fans realize that their biggest influence is U2. Listen to that sound!! I mean, the band respect u2 so much and their guitarist says his favorite string man is the Edge. Listen to the guitar solo on "On Top", that's the Edge. Funny thing is, "Hot Puss" might just have beaten out "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb" as the best album of 2004.
