Okay live album

AC/DC Live is an okay live album that while containing most of their classics suffers from extensive overdubbing and isn't completely representative of their best work. The performances also lack the fire of their first live album, If You Want Blood, You've Got It.

The album contains their best and most popular tracks from 1979 to 1990 such as the hard-rock classics "Back in Black", "Hells Bells", "For Those About To Rock", "Highway Hell", "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap", and "You Shook Me All Night Long". It also includes the strongest tracks from The Razor's Edge album, "Thunderstruck" and "Moneytalks". It also includes "The Jack" and "Whole Lotta Rosie", which are great tracks, but there are better versions on If You Want Blood, You've Got It. The only songs from their late-80s albums are an excellent version of "Heatseeker" and "Who Made Who". There are no tracks here from the Flick Of The Switch and Fly On The Wall albums which is unfortunate because tracks like "Sink The Pink" and "This House Is On Fire" would have made this album stronger and more definitive. The 2-disc version of this album is a little better but contains too many tracks from The Razor's Edge album and only one track from two of their best albums Highway To Hell and For Those About To Rock. I'd recommend this to fans who want the greatest hits because most of them are here. But the album sounds way too much polished in the studio and could have been a stronger song collection.
