La Parranda (The Big Party)
This song blends a high energy array of grooves such as Colobian ";chande"; with Venezuelen ";tambores"; and an insidious rythmic pattern from a typical snare drum section there is a sudden appearance of ";bata"; drums along with a happy trumpet solo, and choruses that explode into a thick unison of voices resembling a big party.
This is a ";party"; song, where everything is magical, happy, and exhiliarating. It says ";this night is far from being over, we are going to have fun until the sun comes up";.
