Comment: Way back in high school, they used to put out little bowls of picked watermelon rind--and my friends and I would go around eating all the rinds, it was just so good. Ever since, I"ve been trying any jar of pickled watermelon rind I ran across and, besides being priced too high (in the "gourmet" section) they have all been too sweet or too spicy. But Jake & Amos have got the recipe perfectly balanced with a little bit of sweet, a little bit of spice, a little bit of pucker. I ate half the jar immediately. And I'm ordering more. These will probably be good with barbecue, roast pork, meat pies, baked chicken...if I don't simply eat it all straight out of the jar!
