Customer Rating: Summary: Love it Comment: My parents sent us this microwave as a Christmas gift. It was replacing a Magic Chef turn dial style microwave from the dark ages. Not only is this microwave very easy to use, but it also cooks very well. So far I have not had anything boil over or even splatter in this machine and as others have mentioned, food is heated through, not just on the outside. I have noticed that the few times I've used the sensor reheat button that I actually have to manually stop it before it dings because the food is already hot enough for my taste. Buy this if you want a smart microwave.
Customer Rating: Summary: Inverter Microwave Oven- Very Good Performance Comment: We've had this mid-size inverter microwave oven for a few weeks now, and so far it is the best microwave we have ever owned. The inverter modulates the capacity nicely, as opposed to conventional microwaves which cycle maximum power on-and-off. The result is food that is warmed evenly throughout, as opposed to food with areas that are burning hot and other areas which are cool.
The sensor function also works very well, and is very simple to operate. For example, you just push "sensor reheat" and then "start", and your food or drink is warmed up to just the right temperature.
I like the simple yet functional control panel. There are just enough buttons. Some microwaves have so many buttons that they are confusing to operate. Also, on this microwave the most used buttons are silver oval-shaped, which makes it very intuitive to operate for the vast majority of microwave uses (warming up cooled items and reheating items).
I did a lot of research before buying this microwave, and it is the best one available for the price in the USA.
I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 due to the push button door. We had to replace a Sharp microwave a few years ago due to failure of the push button door; the microwave functioned perfectly otherwise! A similar Panasonic inverter model is available in Canada with a pull handle door (Model NN-S615W), but I could not figure out how to order it and get it shipped to the USA. I contacted Panasonic customer service and they were unhelpful.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great looking product...works too! Comment: This is a clean looking microwave that does exactly what it was intended to do.
Customer Rating: Summary: Can't Find A Better Microwave Than Panasonic Comment: My wife and I purchased one of the first Panasonic Genius microwaves that came out. It lasted 20 years and was replaced by a Sharp which was not even in the same class.
Decided to get my wife another Panasonic, and this microwave delivers what it promises. Owners manual is easy to understand, and whether you are defrosting frozen food or just keeping a dish warm, this microwave does the job flawlessly.
If there's a better microwave out there, I don't know what it would be.
Customer Rating: Summary: Incorrect dimensions Comment: I had to ship this oven back because the dimensions listed at Amazon.com are incorrect. The oven was too large for my shelf. If you're buying one to fit a particular space, note that the unit is 16 inches deep, 12 inches tall and 21 inches wide. Also, you can't see the food cooking through the window because of the heavy screen.
