Just when he s needed most, Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), that witty and wily charmer of a pirate, is trapped on a sea of sand in Davy Jones Locker. In an increasingly shaky alliance, Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) and Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) begin a desperate quest to find and rescue him. Captain Jack s the last of the nine Pirate Lords of the Brethren Court who must come together united in one last stand to preserve the freedom-loving pirates way of life. From exotic Singapore, to World s End and beyond, from Shipwreck Island, to a titanic battle, this adventure s filled with over-the-edge action, irreverent humor and seafaring myth and magic. Everything has led to this twisting, turning, wild swashbuckling ride in this final chapter of the Pirates Of The Caribbean trilogy.

Customer Rating: Summary: The curse of the second sequel Comment: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007) should have been titled Being Jack Sparrow, the Lord of the Pirates or the Curse of the second sequel. It was too long, slow, convoluted, and dark, and by dark I mean, visually dark and not interesting. The most beloved character, Jack Sparrow did not show up until the end of the first hour into the movie, and the scene of his first appearance was the best, the funniest, and sadly, the only scene in the movie that I liked. It showed Jack Sparrow trapped on the sea of sand in Davy Jones' Locker as the captain and the multiple members of the crew. The scene brought to memory the famous sequence from Being John Malcovich and it was the highest point of the movie. After that, Jack was moved to the periphery of the plot which was so incoherent that the film creators actually came up with the list of FAQ that baffled moviegoers had about the total mess of the final installment in the pirate trilogy. The list was included with the DVD. The original idea to make a movie based on the popular Walt Disney theme park ride proved to be great for two first movies that are funny and entertaining. The idea to create a philosophical-metaphysical-mythological epilogue to the series in the traditions of Lord of the Rings turned to be disastrous. The movie failed flat in all directions. I was either bored or laughed at the scenes that were not meant to be unintentionally funny. Even appearance of Keith Richards, Johnny Depp's inspiration for the role of Jack Sparrow, as Jack's father did not help much. First two films were exiting, had stunning special effects and awesome achievements in make up. The films breeze freely and move along with great pace. I liked the second movie very much because the way its creators prepared us for the third film was very clever. The final chapter, sadly, was ambitious and ponderous mess.

Customer Rating: Summary: Great Comment: I was very happy about this transaction, the movie played fine and was exactly as described when I bought it.
Customer Rating: Summary: An eminent clash between Jack and Davie Jones Comment: 1. Culter Becket has decreed a State of Emergency, suspended the right of Habeas Corpus, and Becket orders the pirates to be hung. Becket has gained possession of the heart of Davie Jones. A young pirate starts the song to summon the nine Lord pirates.
2. Captain Barbosa and Elizabeth discover Sao Feng, a pirate Lord, has imprisoned Will, for attempted theft of the "Worlds End" map. Will was caught while attempting a rescue of Jack, who is imprisoned in Davie Jones Locker.
3. Sao Feng is the pirate Lord of South China, Singapore, and owner of the map to "Worlds End", a gateway to Davie Jones Locker, a world beyond this one. Sao Feng honors the call for the brethren to convene.
4. Captain Barbosa uses the black pearl to rescue Jack. Barbosa knows Jack Sparrow is a pirate Lord, one piece of eight, no successor, and must get him back into the land of the living. Mercer is in charge of the British Navy. The East India Trading Company is the front for Will & Feng, black pearl for Jack, and Map to the World End.
5. Mercer works for Becket. The seas are being taken over by Becket. Jack is trapped aboard the pearl. Davie Jones is in Alliance with Becket because Becket has Davie Jones Heart and he does as directed by company. Becket navigates the Flying Dutchman.
6. The pirates want the power of the sea and are hoping Calypso will grant them power. Calypso, Goddess of the sea extends her power into Davie Jones Locker and she helps Jack move the Pearl back to sea. Davie Jones is tasked to ferry the dead to the next world, a curse by Calypso, who was forced to take human form. Every ten years, Davie Jones can come to shore to be with Calypso, the woman, he loves.
7. Elizabeth remorse's her actions, lead to the death of Jack by the Cragun. The Cragun has died, but how? Elizabeth feels a burden to bear and has no choice but to rescue Jack.

Barbosa tells Sao Feng that they have Calypso, bound in chords, hence the meeting of the brethren. Barbosa tempts them by telling them Calypso is in human form and can unleash the power of the sea.

15. Davie Jones attacks Sao Feng and kill him as a canon ball strikes the side of the ship, but not before Sao Feng makes Elizabeth captain of the South Seas.

Boot Strap kills Harrington, as the group attempts escape. A trail of bodies is left for Becket to follow, to shipwreck cove, the gather place of the pirate Lords. Becket has the black pearl and Jack knows he will find the cove. Jack tosses Will overboard and he is captured by Becket.
17. Tia Diam is Calypso. The first pirate court imprisoned her. Davie Jones betrayed her and cut out his heart. Will wants the freedom of his father, who is in servitude to Davie Jones.
18. 1 Day at shore equals 10 years at sea. Davie Jones laments Calypso, 10 years at sea, but not there, at reunion. Calypso tells Davie Jones, "I will be free", "I will give you my heart", "If you had a heart", "my heart will always belong to you." Jack does not think Calypso will be merciful.
19. Jack votes for Elizabeth to be Pirate King and she decides to fight Becket.
20. Calypso is released, Davie Jones betrayed, Calypso shatters into millions of crabs, final pirate hope fails, the battle will be fairly fought between Jack and Davie Jones.
21. Barbosa marries Will and Elizabeth during the battle with Davie Jones. Will is fatally injured by Davie Jones, Jack helps Will stab Davie Jones heart, and Will takes his place, looses Elizabeth, save his father, Boot Strap.
22. Elizabeth and Will destroy Becket.

Customer Rating: Summary: A grand adventure. Comment: The third and final Pirates of the Caribbean is a rollicking voyage in the same spirit of the two earlier Pirates films, yet far darker in spots (and nearly three hours to boot). The acting is great. Special praise goes to Geoffrey Rush who made Barbossa into an interesting character. I actually found myself liking him, something I didn't think I could do after the first film. Much was made of Keith Richard's special performance and international star, Chow Yun-Fat being in the film. The special effects were as great as always along with great action scenes. Well done to director Gore Verbinski who still manages to hold the film together which is good and Hans Zimmer still delivered an outstanding soundtrack for all the right reasons.
My only concern was that it was too long. But the action, as always, is more than satisfying, held together by Depp, who, outsmarting the far-better-armed British yet again, causes a bewigged commander to muse: "Do you think he plans it all out, or just makes it up as he goes along?". The final showdown between Depp and Nighy was fantastic and delivered in many cases. However I must admit that I'm pleased that it's the last movie in the trilogy for it's welcome is beginning to ware out.
This film may have some hiccups and faults but still is a wonderful movie, don't miss the grand closure to an unforgettable adventure.
