Summary: glad I had a birthday
Comment: I got this as a birthday gift and I am pleasantly surprised. I like the majority of tracks more than I expected. Good upbeat tunes!

Summary: Natasha is a Pocket Full of Sunshine
Comment: Natasha Bedingfield's 2008 CD Pocketful of Sunshine is just that. The title song gets most of the air-play, but "Put Your Arms Around Me" is just as catchy and is, in fact, my favorite tune to hum in the car these days. The writing on this album is great; it's wonderful to find an album that you can enjoy listening to straight through! It's also a delight to find simple lyrics that you can memorize easily so that you can sing along with the songs! This CD is just as good as her previous one!

Summary: Too much sun is bad 4 your health.
Comment: I only like 3 songs off this. I could listen to "Pocket Full of Sunshine" over and over and i was hoping there would be more songs like that. But unfortunately there are alot of those dreaded skip-overs that are just unlistenable in my oppinion. I like "put ur arms around me" and the last song comes in as a savior for a waste of an album "not givn' up". It's as if they knew and they said "man we need one more good song on here or else this is gonna tank". the song "soulmate" is ok for a ballad, I like the lyrics. The rest of the songs are just ordinary pop bs. the song "Pirate Bones" is Natasha's attempt at being surreal and edgy. I guess she tried to take her music to the next level. I would say just stick to what you're good at, don't try to be an Amy Winehouse or somebody you can't live up to. I don't want to hate too hard, because I still like Natasha's sound. I think she would have been better off doing more dance type stuff.

Summary: Sadly repetitive, yet talented
Comment: Everyone knows and probably likes the title track. However, outside of that and possibly one or two other songs, this album is mind numbingly repetitive, as many pop singer albums are these days. Natasha has an outstanding voice and brings out her passion for music and life/love in everything she sings, but don't count on this CD/mp3/whatever to bring earth-shattering inspiration and originality to the music scene. If you like soulful pop with a little R&B, then this album is for you. Otherwise, at the risk of falling asleep and hurting someone, don't listen to it while operating heavy machinery.

Summary: Pleasantly surprised........
Comment: The majority of my musical CD's/mp3's are hard rock (AC/DC,Earshot, Disturbed, etc.), classic rock, Progressive Rock (Dream Theater),top 40 country, or basically anything with a good beat. My 3 year old daughter and I kept hearing pocket full of sunshine on the radio and she would energetically hum and start dancing around every time this song came on. Now she knows most of the chorus. I decided to buy it for this very reason and once my wife and I gave it a total listen we were pretty impressed with it. #2 "Pocket full of Sunshine" is the most popular (so far) and with good reason. You can listen to this song any where and it fits. #5 "Piece of your Heart" is as good as the title track. What a groove from these 2 songs!!! #6 "Soulmate" is a very creative song written about a very familiar topic and question that we have all asked ourselves at some point in time. #3 "Happy" is a cross of the Carribean with some old school soul thrown in. What a pleasant surprise this little find has been. Very good all around CD to have!
