Welcome to the Dollhouse, Danity Kane's upcoming sophomore album, finds the ladies hotter than ever. The set is the follow-up to their blockbuster debut, which made a spectacular #1 debut on the SoundScan/Billboard 200 album chart upon its initial 2006 release. Fueled by the top 10 smash, "Show Stopper," the self-titled album went on to achieve RIAA platinum certification for U.S. sales exceeding one million units. Now, with their new single, "DAMAGED," Danity Kane have more than matched their Cinderella story debut, crafting an irresistible collection of new hits in association with such studio superstars as Danja, Stereotypes, Bryan Michael Cox, and Seven Aurelius (LL Cool J, Ashanti, Vanessa Carlton).

Customer Rating: Summary: Highly overrated...... Comment: Unlike most of the garbage released by most girl groups today, Danity Kane can sing. Most of the current girl groups out there are merely sold for their looks to impressionable teenagers. Despite this, I find Danity Kane's songs boring overall, each song begins to sound like the other as they work their strong points so much that in the end, the outcome is a monotonous blur of songs that you'll soon forget the names of. I though the first album was better actually even though I didn't like that one either.
A friend who purchased both of these albums loaned them to me and I returned them the next day. When I listened to their albums I felt compelled to quickly fast forward though tracks and became bored with songs quickly. Even sadder, I didn't even think to copy any of the tracks into my collection on my computer. I also haven't even attempted to download bittorrent versions for myself so even for free I didn't want this album, as I've done this in the past to one hit wonder artists who sell albums with one good track on their entire album, primarily as punishment for people who release garbage.
I think once your older than say 21-24, you'll find Danity Kane boring and will want to listen to albums that provide better entertainment beyond the sexy image they portray. I do have a comment in their defense; On the Making the Band TV show, Diddy come down on that one band member for her overly sexy look and I felt if anything, he should include all the rest of them in this judgement because let's face it, they're all being partially sold on looks and not totally on substance.
Overall, I don't expect to see Danity Kane in 2-3 years from now and figure like many other groups before them, they'll be just a memory as there star fades, hopefully these girls will grow as individuals and maybe there is a chance that as solo artists they will have a little more to bring to the table but as a group I feel they have one more album left in them before fans get bored and move on to other trendier artists of that moment....
Customer Rating: Summary: I Like The Sound, But The Sound Is Basically The Same. Comment: Two of my three favorite tracks are the first two sung tracks ("Bad Girl" and "Damaged"; "Key To My Heart" is the third). This means that the project had great promise, but then it all sounded the same, with little to regain my interest.
Also, I did not know the girls by voice, and the liner notes did not tell who's who, as far as I know.
Customer Rating: Summary: I love DK! Comment: This album is great, especially since it might be the last one that these 5 do together!
Customer Rating: Summary: Best of 2008 Comment: If you love great music, then you will love this cd. Danity Kane came back with more sound and experience with their sophmore album. I listen to this CD everyday since I got it back in March. This is one of the best CDs of 2008.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good background music in the car Comment: It's the first time I've listened to Danity Kane. At first the dance-like beats struck me and the music made me feel like dancing to a fast R&B style, but then I became overwhelmed with the number of voices and sounds overlapping. It just felt like too much, each voice repeating the same word over and over until it sounded like a slightly chaotic echo. At the same time, I still think the beats are really catchy, and I think it's a good CD to listen to in the car or whenever you need some up-beat music.
