Customer Rating: Summary: Great Invention Comment: I love this. Dries my clothes from the Washer. Holds a lot of clothes and heats my apartment during winter as well. Customer Rating: Summary: Dryer great for RV Comment: I purchased this dryer before our 6 day semi rainy camping trip to Mayfield lake in Washington with my sister and family. I needed something to Get towels and wet clothing dry at camp outs in the North West. That doesn't happen unless the weather is really hot or you have this dryer. Items should be rung out before, things take time but they get dry. I start it just as the campfire gets going and let it run through the night, and sometimes all day...cycling things in and out of the dryer.
I put this to the test with 8 of us getting things wet. Beach towels, swim suits, wet clothing, wet jeans and socks (my son jumped in the lake to save his cell phone) wet life jackets and the towel that fell off the boat. This has up to 3 hr timer/ Auto off. I put it outside under the awning of the RV most of the time. The 6 arms are sturdy for holding wet heavy items. I used clothes pins to put smaller items on the supports for the arms as they are like an umbrella. The soaked heavy beach towels took about 4 hrs to dry. The air comes up from the dryer below and puffs up the blue cover like a hot air balloon. For me as a Mom of teenage boys,at a camp-out were clothes don't dry,80% humidity outside, it was worth it's weight in gold. Having dry towels in the morning to go on the boat with again and again....Not having a whole laundry bag full of wet mildew items made me a happy camper. My sister loved it too! This dryer has 900 watts, works as a room heater also and cold boaters loved unzipping it and sticking their heads inside for it's warmth back at camp. I highly recommend it for an RV. It comes apart for storage, I am happy I found this one. Hold more items than the other dryer sold on line. Customer Rating: Summary: ok Comment: I bought this because I just purchased a portable washer. I read the reviews and thought why not for the price. Well....it's ok. It takes FOREVER to dry the clothes, 2-3 hours. It's like an umbrella that has notches to place three hangers on. It's over 5 feet tall!! When people see it in my apartment they are like WHAT IS THAT THING!!! It's really hard to store if you have a small area like I do. After saying all that.. it's ok. Customer Rating: Summary: Exceeds expectations Comment: This portable clothes dryer is a gem. It's great for small apartment dwellers. It stands about 5'9" or so. It has 6 arms and each arm has about 3 notches to secure hangers. For under garments just take a clothing pin, and attach the garment to the hanger. You can hang several smaller garments like this. Drying time varies depending on how thick the material is. Thinner blouses can dry in thirty minutes or less. Items come out without wrinkles. It has a timer with auto shut off up to 3 hours. I mean for $90 don't expect for it to be a super dryer. Be realistic. If your not in a hurry this will do you just fine.
I'm impressed with this dryer/heater. It's a great compliment to my portable washing machine. I wish I'd purchased it sooner.
Update, I was able to dry a sheet set. I hung it up for about an hour, then came back and adjusted it later. It got completely dry. Customer Rating: Summary: It Works! Comment: Although this unit sells for $90 here, I've seen it for $70 elsewhere on the internet. I paid $70 for mine and it works as advertised. Since the warm air circulates freely in the large bright blue bag I was thinking about hanging a fabric softening sheet inside while clothes dried. I don't know if that would make the clothes fluffy and nice-smelling but it's worth a try. Clothes do come out (relatively) wrinkle free as promised. My next experiment is to see whether or not I can dry a sheet, towel, jeans, or a blanket in it. By all accounts it should work - providing I set the timer to 3 hours. A heat control and larger drying space would be nice, but I can't complain. Coming into the house out of the rain and hanging wet clothes in it to dry is a nice touch to anyone's home or apartment. Also, since it triples as a space heater and clothes rack, it's worth every penny. Kudos to the designer. He (or she) must be laughing all the way to the bank by now.
