Wear your Ex Officio Men's Nomad Convertible Pants, and leave your shorts at home while you wander the world. These regular-fit convertible Nomads zip off mid-thigh. Pants definitely have advantages: They block the sun, keep you warm, and protect shins and calves from scrub brush and bug bites. But on a hot day, it's hard to beat the freeing, cooling feeling of being in shorts. Ex Officio made these nylon pants/shorts to be quick drying and wrinkle- and stain-resistant for easy care as you go from one hotel or hostel to the next.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great pants Comment: I bought these pants for a trip to Mexico's rain forest. They were a fantastic purchase. The zippers were nicely tucked in for a natural look, and then easily came out when I needed to convert pants into shorts. As the product description says, the button is finely constructed--unlike some plastic buttons I've wrestled with in the past.
The only thing I have to add is that the pants ran a little big. HOwever, this was actually a welcome change to the REI and Columbia pants I have of the same variety that run TOO small.
Nice, comfortable pants. Oh, and they held up for three days wear (not in a row) without clinging to odor or dirt.
