Summary: Ontel #HANDYS-CD6 Wireless Light Switch
Comment: Great product. Works as advertised. Shipping was faster than expected probably due to holidays. It was a good alternative to running extra ceiling lights, wiring, hiring electrician. I use it to control a lamp where we needed extra light.
One thing to note is that if you unplug it from the wall socket while it is on and plug it back, it will not come on automatically. You will have to turn off the remote switch and turn it back on for the device plugged in to come back on.

Comment: I have used it for less than a month and it already is disfunctional.
I changed batteries, tested the bulb, etc, It just doesn't work.

Summary: Switched off too soon!
Comment: When the Handy Switch works, it is indeed handy. I bought two of them and
was pleased initially. However, the first one functioned 6 days and then stopped working. No big deal; I had a backup unit. The 2nd Handy Switch worked 20 days before there was a flash of light--and the room went dark. I thought the 60-watt bulb burned out. Not so. The bulb is fine; it was the unit that "burned out." I now wonder what the probable life expectancy
is for one of these units. Stupid me; I thought the Handy Switch would work for years!

Comment: Not hard to install, but it stopped working on the first day, when the lamp we plugged into it blew a light bulb. Don't waste your money on this hunk of junk!

Comment: The Handy Switch is merely a cheap piece of junk. It would not work after the fourth time I used it. It feels cheap, looks cheap, and performs cheap. If you are looking to buy a decent product, DO NOT BUY HANDY SWITCH. Save $13 and buy something that may actually work.
